What this plugin does
The SurferSEO Optimization plugin embeds SurferSEO's Content Editor directly inside the Flotiq content editor sidebar. As your editors write or update content, they receive a live content score, keyword density guidance, and structural recommendations - all without leaving the Flotiq UI or switching between tools. SurferSEO analyses the target keyword and compares your content against top-ranking pages in real time. The plugin surfaces actionable suggestions: which keywords to add or reduce, how long the content should be, how many headings to include, and more - making it easier for non-technical editors to produce content that is competitive in search results. This integration is ideal for content teams running SEO-driven publishing workflows, where every article needs to hit a minimum content score before going live. The plugin is configured per content type, so it only appears for the types where SEO optimisation is relevant.

Install in Flotiq
Follow these steps to get the plugin running in your Flotiq account.
Go to Plugins in the Flotiq sidebar
Select Plugins from the left sidebar in your Flotiq dashboard.
Enable SurferSEO Optimization
Click the + icon next to SurferSEO Content Optimization Plugin to install and enable it. The UI will reload.
Open plugin settings
Click Manage and then Add item to create a configuration.
Configure content type and fields
Select the Content Type (e.g. Blog post) and the Content field name - the main body field for SEO analysis. Optionally configure Additional fields: Title field name (H1), Lead field name (intro paragraph), and FAQ field if applicable.
Save and start optimizing
Click Save changes. Open a content object - the SurferSEO panel appears in the editor sidebar with live keyword guidance and content score.
