Multilingual

Manage translations for your content directly inside the Flotiq editor with a locale switcher.

What this plugin does

The Multilingual plugin enables editors to manage multiple language versions of a content object directly within the Flotiq editor, without duplicating content types or creating separate objects for each locale. It adds language tabs to the editing form, allowing editors to switch between languages and fill in translated field values in a single, unified interface. Translations are stored in a __translations array field that is automatically added to the configured content types when the plugin is set up. Each translation entry contains a __language field (using ISO 639 two-letter codes) alongside the translated field values. The default language data remains in the top-level content object fields, keeping your API responses clean and backward-compatible. For teams using DeepL, the plugin integrates automatic translation: entering a DeepL API key in the plugin settings enables one-click translation of configured fields into any supported target language. The Multilingual plugin is particularly valuable for international projects where the same content needs to reach audiences in multiple languages without duplicating editorial workflows.
