Meet the Partner - Alergeek Ventures - Stanisław Madej
Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your role in the company?
My name is Stanisław Madej, I’m one of the co-founders of Alergeek Ventures, a company I started with my brother Franek while we were still at university. It all began in a small student apartment, just me, my brother, and a friend. Instead of following the traditional career path, we decided to build something of our own. That’s how Alergeek Ventures was born. Not long after, Patryk joined us and played a crucial role in securing and delivering our first major client, INTU, which became Poland’s most popular wellness application.
Outside of tech, I’m passionate about football, not just as a fan but also as an advisor supporting clubs and federations in achieving their strategic goals. In both fields, the mission is the same: helping talented people reach their potential.
What inspires you to work in the tech industry?
What excites me most about tech is that we get to witness the world changing every single day. Working with some of the most ambitious startups in Europe, we’re often right at the edge of what’s next. There’s a unique energy in that space, and it’s incredibly rewarding to help bring ideas to life and scale them into something impactful.
Your company, your expertise
What is your core technical expertise, and how do you approach building solutions? What technologies, frameworks, or tools do you specialize in?
My background lies in data, business analysis, and consulting. Having worked at PwC and Accenture, I’ve always been close to both strategy and execution. At AV, I’m responsible for everything business-related: strategy, operations, partnerships, and the human side of every collaboration.
One of the things that truly defines us is our agility. We’re not a massive vendor with rigid processes, we’re a boutique team that can move fast, adapt easily, and deeply embed into our clients’ workflows. Whether we’re supporting fast-growing AI startups from Sweden or working with larger U.S.-based clients, we always prioritize one thing: long-term client success.
Writing code is the last step when working in tech. First, it’s about understanding the problem. Then comes structure, collaboration, and figuring out what really needs to be built.
There’s a line I once came across, surprisingly, not from a tech course, but from the humanities department at AGH University. It goes: “Behind every technology, there is a human being.” That perspective stuck with me. And it aligns perfectly with how we think about our work: technology is never just about systems or code; it’s always about people.
We work with modern, battle-tested technologies across the stack. On the frontend, we use React, TypeScript, and Next.js to build fast, responsive, and SEO-friendly interfaces. For mobile apps, we rely on React Native for efficient cross-platform development.
On the backend, we typically use Node.js and PostgreSQL, and we have strong experience with GraphQL (especially Hasura), Redis, and ElasticSearch. For AI-heavy use cases, we integrate Python-based workflows and production-grade tools like Azure OpenAI to deeply embed AI capabilities into real products.
Our DevOps setup includes AWS, Docker, Terraform, and tools like Dagster for ML pipelines, all geared toward fast, stable, and scalable delivery.
For us, it’s never just about using the latest tools, it’s about putting them together in the right way to build real products that grow.
How do you approach building scalable and efficient solutions?
We treat every project like it’s our own. Before writing a single line of code, we take time to understand the “why” behind the product. Who’s it for? What problem are we really solving? That’s what shapes everything that follows.
When it comes to tech, we aim for a balance between modern architecture and getting things done. Our stack is built for speed and scale; serverless deployments, microservices, containers, and edge-ready APIs are part of our everyday toolkit.
But real scalability isn’t just about infrastructure, it’s also about people. We avoid single points of failure, whether that’s one engineer or one system. Everything we build is well-documented, easy to test, and designed to grow with the product.
How do you ensure quality and impact with such a small team?
Our biggest strength is our highly aligned, small team, where everyone plays a role in delivering value. We don’t shuffle anonymous engineers between projects; they're fully committed if someone’s on your project.
We've maintained and scaled INTU, Poland’s top wellness app, and launched Quikś with influencer Łukasz Bok, which saw tens of thousands of downloads in a single day. We’re also expanding internationally, particularly in Sweden.
We’ve worked with Legora, a leader in legal tech AI, and Kvantab, a company transforming political information tracking used by policymakers across the EU. We thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure projects, which are rewarding and where we feel most alive.
Additionally, our brief but inspiring collaboration with Lovable, a Swedish AI startup, allowed us to contribute early on in their journey to rethink software development.
Solving business challenges
What types of projects does your company typically take on, and how do you help clients navigate complexity?
We’re most at home in smaller, fast-moving projects, especially those that combine deep technical work with early-stage ambiguity. We often come in when a startup has a big vision but needs help figuring out how to get there. That’s where we shine: shaping the plan, building the first scalable version, and setting up systems that can evolve with the product.
What makes us different is that we don’t just write code. We often get involved in project organization, team structure, and product decision-making. In that sense, we don’t act like a classic outsourcing partner, we become a strategic extension of the client’s team.
We’re comfortable taking ownership. When needed, we step in and steer the ship, not in a controlling way, but one that brings clarity and momentum. That’s something our clients consistently highlight we don’t wait for tickets. We collaborate, ask hard questions, and move fast.
What do you see as the biggest challenge in tech today?
The biggest challenge is realizing just how fast the world is about to change. Yes, tech has always been a fast-moving industry. But what’s coming now, particularly with AI, is on a completely different scale.
In the next few years, artificial intelligence will become a core layer of most digital products. Not a feature. Not a plugin. A foundational element. Many still underestimate this. But those who embrace it early will move faster than their competitors, especially if they work with teams who understand how to deploy LLMs in ways that create real, measurable value.
And here’s something we strongly believe: small teams will win big.
This new era isn’t about throwing more people at a problem, it’s about ideas, execution, and adaptability. AI is a multiplier. If used right, it lets you ship faster, smarter, and with better outcomes, even with a lean crew. We help our clients get there.
Industry shifts & game changers
What recent trends or developments in IT have surprised you the most?
The biggest surprise or maybe more accurately, the biggest shift, has been how quickly AI has moved from “experimental” to “essential.” Just a year or two ago, many companies were still in exploration mode. Now, even traditional industries are redesigning core workflows around large language models.
What’s even more striking is how underprepared most organizations still are. They know AI is important, but often don’t know where to start or how to integrate it into real products. That’s where we come in, not just to build something smart, but to help connect the dots between AI’s potential and real business value.
Another notable shift is in team structures and expectations. The market is moving toward leaner, more autonomous teams. Companies don’t want a 15-person dev squad for a simple prototype anymore, they want 2–3 great people who understand their business and can deliver end-to-end. And that's exactly the space we operate in.
What has been the biggest game changer in your daily work?
Honestly, I think the role of consulting has changed a lot. It’s no longer just about showing up with a toolkit or a process, it’s about helping people navigate uncertainty. Businesses are moving fast, and the problems they’re trying to solve aren’t always clear-cut. So, the most valuable thing you can bring to the table is clarity, not just technical knowledge, but the ability to ask the right questions, spot patterns, and simplify complexity.
Clients don’t just want someone who can deliver a task. They want someone who can think alongside them, someone who understands the pressure, the ambiguity, and the stakes. And that means going beyond the brief. A good consultant helps shape the problem, not just solve it. You must be comfortable challenging assumptions, proposing alternatives, and even asking, “Wait, are we solving the right thing here?”
Innovation, in that sense, isn’t just about using new tech. It’s about applying fresh thinking to real business challenges. Sometimes that means reimagining a process. Sometimes it means saying no to something that doesn’t make sense. Often, it’s simply helping teams focus, cutting through the noise, and keeping momentum.
At the end of the day, the best work happens when you treat the client’s challenge as your own. That mindset makes all the difference, and it’s what keeps the work meaningful, too.
Partnership with Flotiq
What is the biggest advantage of being a Flotiq Solution Partner?
One of the biggest advantages is how responsive and engaged the Flotiq team is. If we need a consultation, we can usually set up a meeting within 24 hours and we’re speaking directly with people who truly understand both the product and our needs. That level of access is rare, and it makes a big difference when you’re working on fast-moving projects.
They also genuinely invest in their partners. From dedicated training and in-depth technical documentation to a private support channel and business consultations, it feels like a true collaboration, not just a transactional relationship.
How does Flotiq enhance your projects and workflows?
Flotiq streamlines content delivery in a way that saves both time and effort. It’s API-first, developer-friendly, and integrates seamlessly across platforms, whether we’re building websites, mobile apps, or more complex digital systems. Because the platform is flexible and consistent, our teams can onboard quickly and switch between projects without friction.
It also enables parallel workflows: marketers can manage and publish content while developers continue building the frontend, helping us move faster and ship sooner.
What specific benefits has Flotiq brought to your business?
Flotiq has helped us standardize parts of our development process. Because the tooling is clean and intuitive, we don’t have to reinvent the wheel with every project. It provides us with a repeatable, scalable way to build CMS-backed products. What’s also been valuable is their involvement during the sales and implementation phases. They’ve joined calls with our clients, advised on architecture, and helped us present strong, well-aligned solutions, which have directly helped us win deals.
In short, Flotiq has become more than just a tool in our stack, it’s a partner that helps us deliver better, faster, and more confidently.
The road ahead
What’s next for your company? How do you see your business evolving in the coming years?
Though we’re a young company, we’ve already achieved quite a lot. We’ve always been drawn to the idea of small teams doing big things and that’s the space we want to continue leaning into. What excites us most isn’t just the technology; it’s the momentum. Being there when something starts to click. When a rough idea turns into a working product. When a founder sees their vision come to life, faster than they thought possible.
That’s the kind of work we want to keep doing, not just building features, but helping shape the path forward. Whether that means launching an AI-native MVP, scaling infrastructure to suddenly serve thousands, or bringing structure and sanity to a fast-moving dev process, we want to be the team people trust to figure it out, together.
We don’t see ourselves as a one-off vendor. We want long-term partnerships. To grow with the people we work with. To become the kind of team founders, call first when they’ve got a bold idea or a tough challenge. And if we’re lucky, a few years from now we’ll be able to point to the products we helped launch and say: that one made a difference. That one helped someone start a company, solve a real problem, or even change their industry. That’s the kind of impact we’re here for and we’re just getting started.
